Our Company
HHHunt is a diversified real estate organization headquartered in Blacksburg, VA, and has been known for more than 40 years as a leading real estate developer throughout Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina and Maryland. HHHunt develops and manages apartment communities, master planned housing communities, assisted living communities, and handcrafted homes.
Office Team
Susan Hubbard - Property Manager
A native of Richmond, VA, Susan moved to Roanoke in 1975. In
April of 1991, Susan joined the Pebble Creek team as an Account
Administrator and Leasing Consultant. She enjoys working with
people and helping them find their home at Pebble Creek. With
over 20 years of continuous experience and education in property
management, Susan holds her national accredited Certified
Apartment Manager (CAM) certification through the National
Apartment Association (NAA) since 1996. She continues to receive
designations yearly to maintain the requirements set by NAA and to
maintain the changes yearly with state and national requirements,
as well as holding her Virginia State Fair Housing certification.
Susan’s position as Property Manager is to oversee all divisions
of the operations of Pebble Creek that include the operation and
training for the office, grounds, maintenance and custodial teams.
She was awarded within the HHHunt company, the 1997 “HHHunt
Team Excellence Award”, in 2000 the “HHHunt Extra Mile
Award”, in 2004 the “HHHunt Employee of the Year” award.
Susan has served as President of the Roanoke Valley Apartment
Association (RVAA) in 1996 – 1997, and as a representative for
RVAA on the State board with the Virginia Apartment Management
Association (VAMA) from 1999 – 2003. In 2008, Susan received
the RVAA Manager of the Year award. Although Susan does
not play golf, she enjoys serving as director of the RVAA Annual
Golf Tournaments since 2004 (9 years) which always promotes a
community charitable organization each year.
With a passion for cooking, growing herbs, decorating, and
photography, Susan looks forward to down time and relaxing with
her husband….mostly by the beach with the sand and ocean…

Joanna Merritt - Office Manager
A native of Virginia Beach, Joanna moved to Roanoke in 2003
to spend more time with her family. In October of 2003, Joanna
joined the Pebble Creek team. She was hired as a Leasing
Professional; however, with 2 years of previous experience,
coupled with her motivating personality, she took over the role
of Marketing Director and is now Office Manager, responsible
for training and motivating her 9 member office team of Leasing
Professionals. Joanna has earned her National Apartment
Leasing Professional, (NALP) certificate and a Certified Apartment
Manager, (CAM) certificate. In 2009, Joanna was awarded the
title of, “HHHunt Assistant Manager of the Year”. Joanna has
served on the Roanoke Valley Apartment Association (RVAA), as
Second Vice President from 2009-2010 and is currently First Vice
President of the RVAA. When she isn’t eating Seafood or watching
her children play soccer or attending dance recitals, you will find
Joanna busy with her three dogs or fostering puppies, two weeks at
a time for the Roanoke Valley SPCA.

Ann Wood - Account Administrator
After moving to Roanoke from the big state of Texas, Ann joined
the team at Pebble Creek as a part time Leasing Professional.
After displaying her ability for details and numbers, Ann quickly
moved into the full time position of Accounts Administrator. For
her outstanding accomplishments, she has been awarded the
HHHunt, Accounts Administrator of the Year in 2008 and 2010
and was awarded Administrator of the Year by the Roanoke Valley
Apartment Association (RVAA). When Ann isn’t in the office, you
may run into her somewhere eating Mexican or Sushi. One of Ann’s
favorite past times is curling up with her two cats and a really good
novel.

Leasing Professionals
Ashley Hunter Kuzma
Born and raised in Potomac Falls, VA, Ashley decided to make
Roanoke her permanent home after graduating from Roanoke
College. She joined Pebble Creek in April of 2009 and has earned
her certification as a National Apartment Leasing Professional
(NALP). Ashley also maintains her certification in Fair Housing. A
die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Virginia fan, Ashley
can be found listening to the latest music hit, running at the local
gym, hiking, white water rafting or watching her favorite football
and lacrosse teams. She is an animal lover who is obsessed with
Boxers and English Bulldogs. Ashley enjoys simply curling up with
her beloved Boxer, Niko, reading a great novel and devouring her
mom’s Italian Lasagna.

Candace Overstreet
After fifteen years of sales experience, Candace joined the Pebble
Creek team in June of 2009 as a full time Marketing / Leasing
Professional. Born and raised in Roanoke, Candace enjoys
spending time her children, family and friends. Living her life to
the fullest, Candace enjoys being around people, her Cock-a-Poo,
Tootsie and being tempted with cheesecake. Her motto is “enjoy
everyday for we are not promised tomorrow”.

Jeremy Basham
A recent graduate of Virginia Tech, Jeremy’s holds a Property
Management degree and is a Certified Property Manager (CAM).
Jeremy is the newest member of the Pebble Creek Team of
Leasing Professionals. An avid coffee drinker and website
designer, in Jeremy’s past time, he continues to enjoy his childhood
passion of writing and playing music. Recently, a new daddy,
Jeremy absorbs every minute he can with his lovely wife and two
children.
